Hosting

Hyperuplink is one static binary that talks to PostgreSQL and any Redis-compatible cache, which makes hosting it fairly easy. Here are your options, from most hands-on to most hands-off.

Self-hosting

Because there are no runtimes or other tedious dependencies Hyperuplink is happy on almost any hardware you can think of, like a $5 VPS, a Raspberry Pi, or an old laptop.

Download the pre-built binary, set up the configuration file and you’re pretty much ready to go.

Containers & Kubernetes

Prefer a platform? The container image runs rootless and stays completely stateless when uploads live in an S3-compatible bucket, so it scales horizontally without drama. Ready-made docker-compose, podman-compose, Quadlet units and a Kubernetes Deployment snippet are available in the repository.

Managed hosting

Want a forum and not a new sysadmin hobby? Then Hyperuplink managed hosting is for you!
